Week 30 and we had over 20 riders out riding and racing around the UK representing Even Strokes! Here is a small report and images of each rider that has been out having fun.
Chloe Elliott was out at the ladies MX day last Friday, where Chloe took her last practice day before her first race this coming weekend at the youth Welsh Open Enduro.
Fin spent Saturday and Sunday ( Sunday was with fellow team mate Oli Knatchbull) at Apex getting some hours in ready for Corshams next round at Bushton. Great weekend and also dodged the rain!
Freddie's first time racing at Landrake at the weekend for southwest motocross club. Conditions were tough and competition was high, as Fred had a taste of what it was like to race with national kids. 18th overall on the Saturday, he was determined to do better on the Sunday and came away with 12th overall. Another weekend done and dusted and another trophy for the shelf! Bring on next weekend.
Bailey had a brilliant weekend, practice day at VIP Saturday and then his second ever race on his 85 today at Doncaster Moto Parc. He rode incredibly especially as the conditions were super wet but he was consistent and bagged a 6th, 6th and 6th for a 6th overall.
Esme rode Rhynie championship rounds 3 & 4 and she fought hard to beat her time of 5.13 a lap from round 2, she pushed herself and smashed her lap times the best this weekend of 4.07! Esme is sitting 10th in the championship.
Maisie finished 5th in the big wheels at Wolverly for the Kids R Us Championship and came away with another trophy!
Race report from Jack.. he rode really well at Lower Drayton today with AMCA. Had 2 hole shots and came 2-5-4 in the races, finishing 4th overall (bit of bad luck in race 2). When you do the blog, you can add Jack’s FB page if you like (JackEvans167) and his FB (Jack Evans).
Jack went to FatCat Motopark on Saturday to meet up with @ella_bella_racing on the private hire. It was awesome to meet some more of the Even Strokes Family.
Ella met up with Jack Clark and Lucas Moncrieff at Fatcats. It was great to meet some more of the team and we got some good practice in after being ill for a few weeks. Unfortunately we had a puncture issue, but managed to get sorted and back on the track.
Nice private hire at @fatcatmotoparc track was in awesome condition thank you to Mike Squidge & Ella on the Even Strokes team for letting me join it. Thanks LDR MotoX Mark Rss Rothwell Avani-Active @cef Malcolm Rathmell Sport Ltd MMX 74 Major Motocross Coaching Ryan Hopley
Lottie rode the ladies practice day on Friday at the LDR training facility. The track was in fantastic condition and Lottie had a great day batting with some really fast female 85cc racers. Then Saturday she had a private hire at Stratford where she Lottie did loads of work on corner speed and technique.
Olly had a great race at the weekend with White Rose Moto Club at Doncaster Moto Parc on his 65. Best result was Race 1 finishing 12 out of 32 riders. Its was muddy day but he LOVED I.
Masons has been really struggling since coming back after COVID with tiredness and joint pains. He’s trying to ride through it tho and attended Mid Wilts Club going 7,3,8 for 6th overall.
Mason took part in Aberdeen & District Championship over 2 days this weekend. Some great battles took place both days. 16/12/16 with overall 14th. Sunday Mason had fire in his belly and sat 7/8th until the last 4 flat corners and lost a few places. He will continue to practice on track days and coaching but went 12/12 in race 1 and 3. Race 2 Masons throttle jammed open on the start gate (lucky boy) so couldn’t compete in race 2. Sitting 8th in the championship in his first season racing he’s buzzing.
Tate made a bad weekend into a good one as he was not feeling the best Sunday morning. A 5 o’clock start as we traveled to DMP Moto Park and raced with White Rose with 40 autos on the start line. Tate took 6th overall on the day and the conditions were absolutely terrible, but he pushed on to make it the best he could.
Tommy raced at Landrake this weekend for a 2 day event. Track was hard Sunday but Tommy enjoyed it and finished with 3rd overall
Last weekend I was riding up at Mildenhall track, that was in great shape but changed a lot throughout the day and was very technical. I got a little drone video also.
Tommy and Leo Gurr
Tommy and Leo had another week at PCE Motopark Winchester.
(Leo’s the bigger one tommy the smaller) course dad too! Mum was marshalling.
Tommy maxed out the PW this week and getting so confident on the jumps and not so nervous with other riders. We think he’s ready for a KTM mini now!
